Service Description

Inclusive Clay classes provide ceramic art education for adults with intellectual disabilities, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment. Participants learn hand building techniques like slab building, coiling, and pinching, with sessions also covering surface treatments and glazing. Eligibility and Participation Requirements: 1. Participants must be over 18 and enrolled in the PA Department of Human Services ODP-HCBS waiver program. 2. A support person must accompany participants and stay for the entire class. 3. Support staff can create pottery at no additional cost while ensuring their participant is adequately supported. Details: Classes meet Fridays weekly from 1-3pm Location: ArtFusion19464, 341 Beech St., Unit 1, Pottstown, PA 19464 Start date: January 10, 2025 Length: 8 weeks End date: February 28, 2025 Cost: $275* (full price, scholarships are available- see below) *Payment will be made on or before the first class at ArtFusion19464. You will be contacted by ArtFusion19464 after registering class here.

Cancellation Policy

Class session bookings are contingent on the participant meeting the program requirements. Participants must be over the age of 18 by the first class of the session and must be enrolled in the PA Department of Human Services ODP Medicaid Waiver Program. Participants must be accompanied by a support person who remains with the participant during the entirety of the class and may also create pottery at no additional cost as long as the participant is adequately supported. If is the participant's responsibility to find a substitute support person to accompany them to class in the event that their primary staff is absent. Payments will be made directly to ArtFusion19464 after booking classes with Inclusive Clay. You will receive an email from ArtFusion19464 confirming the class booking and may need to fill out some additional forms. You may pay prior to the beginning of the session or bring a check payable to ArtFusion19464 to the first class. In the event of inclement weather, classes may be canceled for the safety of the participants. If a class is canceled for this reason, there will be one make-up class offered at the end of the session. No make-up classes will be available for individual participants who are absent from class for any reason. If the class session is full, participants may join a waitlist by emailing Kristin at hello@inclusiveclay.org or by filling out the waitlist form on the website.
